WHAT IS WOOFR?
WOOFR gets you to best nightlife establishments in your city, with instant bookings, perks, privileges and exclusive deals in an all-encompassing nightlife app. The passport charges a user $89.90 a month and users can redeem a drink for free per night at selected bars. (You can hop bar to bar within each night).
CHALLENGE
Work together with Woofr’s startup founders to find out why users are not adopting the app (ease the user flow of WOOFR V2.0 prototype) and identify opportunities for current app improvements and also integrate new features if deem useful and essential.
– RESEARCH PHASE –
Affinity mapping we did as a team to find similar patterns and traits amongst the users that we have interviewed.
The interviews are separated into 2 components. Firstly, we find out about the needs of our users.
Secondly, we did a usability test to identify opportunities to iterate the existing app.
From the behavioural insights we draw earlier, we are able to map out the traits of our personas. These 3 personas are the users that would use the app and meet the business objectives. We crafted out each persona based on their bar/club-going patterns, likes, needs and their pain points.
For this 3 weeks sprint, we focused our attention on the 3rd persona, Isabella. She is potentially most fit to the use of the Woofr passport feature of bar hopping, in which also aligns with business objectives.
– SOLUTIONING PHASE –
From Persona Isabella’s journey of using the app to go to bars and clubs, we are able to conjure and sketched up the solution based on features form.
Our solution first includes the revamp of the key features are prioritised based on essential users needs that drives the main business model. Once we build a prototype (without images), we did testing with our users and made iterations.
On boarding screens are designed and added to educate new users of the benefits of using the app.
Foreseeable and reasonable changes from the current v2.0 app to what we have proposed.
Some of the future plans that are suggested.
Presented solutions and parts of the solutions will be implemented in the 2nd version of the Woofr app in July 2017.
Together with our happy Woofr startup partners.
